Delete Your Account & Data

Gudea (built by VeloVault LLC) gives you full control over your data. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time, either from inside the app or by emailing us.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open Gudea on your phone.
- Go to Settings → Privacy & Data.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. Your account and all associated data are erased immediately.
Option 2 — Email us
If you no longer have the app installed or cannot sign in, email gudeasupport@gmail.com from the address linked to your Gudea account with the subject line “Account deletion request.” We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when it is done.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following are erased:
- Your Firebase Authentication record (including any Google-linked sign-in)
- Your full user profile in Firestore (
users/{your_id}/data/*)
- All credit-usage records (
credit_usage/{your_id})
- All promo-code redemptions (
promo_redemptions/{your_id}_*)
- Your Coach Memory entries
- Your local Hive storage on the device (every box is wiped)
- Your subscription tracking record at RevenueCat (account ID detached)
- Your authorship attribution on any community templates you have published (the templates themselves may remain visible to other users as anonymous content; if you want them removed, request that in your email)
What is retained, and why
A small amount of information is retained for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons:
- Subscription / purchase records are retained for up to 7 years for tax and accounting compliance, as required by US law. These records contain the transaction itself, not your personal profile.
- Aggregated, anonymous analytics (e.g. “1,230 users opened the app today”) cannot be tied back to you and are not deleted.
Subscriptions: deleting your Gudea account does
not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. Cancel your subscription in the
Google Play Store → Subscriptions first, or you may continue to be billed.
Partial deletion
If you only want to delete data but keep your account, the app supports that too. In Settings → Privacy & Data you can:
- Delete all your data — wipes every local Hive box and the server copies, but keeps your sign-in.
- Edit or clear your Coach Notes.
- Toggle Cloud Backup off to stop server-side sync going forward.
- Toggle AI Coach Processing off to stop sending data to Anthropic.
- Toggle analytics off to stop event reporting to Firebase Analytics.
- Export all your data as a JSON file before you delete anything.
